Dr Tara Ball

Dr Tara Ball graduated with a Medical Degree from the University of Newcastle in 2000. She worked as an Intern, Resident and Registrar Doctor at John Hunter Hospital, The Royal Newcastle Hospital, Rankin Park Hospital, Belmont Hospital, The Calvary Mater and many of the local Private Hospitals in the region. Since 2008 she has worked as a Specialist Consultant in both the Public and Private Hospital systems.

She is currently the Director of Rehabilitation Services at Lingard Private Hospital. The Lingard Rehabilitation Unit was set up by Dr Tara Ball in January 2015, and is currently a very popular 28 bed Rehabilitation Unit. Lingard Rehabilitation Unit specialises in the following areas:

• Prehab
• Post-Surgical Recovery
• Chronic Medical Conditions
• Age Related Functional Decline
• Pain Management

Prior to the year 2000 Dr Tara Ball completed a degree in Physical Education, Health and Personal Development teaching High School students in the local area. She was a qualified Fitness Leader and worked at local gyms including WESTS and Howzat (Now Genesis Cooks Hill). She also ran a small Personal Fitness Training Business also teaching Anatomy to Fitness Leaders at TAFE.

Dr Ball is still very passionate and knowledgeable in the area of Health and Fitness and is able to draw on her past experience to provide her patients with the very best medical and rehabilitation care.
