Dr Stephen Kemp has over 25 years’ experience asa hand and upper limb surgeon. Having completed orthopaedic training locally,he engaged in an extra two years of sub-speciality training in hand surgery,microsurgery, arthroscopic surgery of the upper limb and open shoulder surgerybefore returning to Newcastle. He established Hunter Hand and Upper LimbSurgery in 1993 and continues to build expertise in this specialised area.

Dr Kemp prides himself on attention to detail anda comprehensive approach. He believes successful treatment rests on a carefulaccurate diagnosis, a high level of technical expertise and structuredrehabilitation.

He regularly attends national and internationalmeetings. He is an active member of the Shoulder and Elbow Society of Australia,the Australian Hand Surgery Society and the NSW Hand Surgery Association.

Dr Kemp performs a full range of arthroscopicprocedures as well as joint replacement of the shoulder, elbow, wrist andhand.
